About Vita Clean

Restoring Lives Since 1986.

How we got started

Dwayne Ellis built his family business on the principles of honesty, fair dealing, and treating clients better than family. In 1967, Dwayne founded Ellis Construction & Cleaning, laying the foundation for what would eventually become Vita Clean Restoration.

Mark “Pop” Ellis joined the team in 1969 at just 13 years old—and, like any good family business story, he started at the bottom. Literally. The toilets.

Dwayne had Pop cleaning toilets and handling the dirty work for quite a while, teaching him early that no job was beneath him and that doing things right mattered, no matter the task.

After graduating high school in 1975, Pop went on to work for the County Sheriff’s Office from 1977 to 1986. In 1986, he took over for Dwayne and continued building what would become Vita Clean Restoration.

Since then, Pop has dedicated his career to giving clients peace of mind when they need it most. From the beginning of a project to the very end, his philosophy has always been simple: do the job right, treat people fairly, and take care of their home better than your own.

Along the way, Pop developed a passion for masonry restoration, which remains one of his favorite parts of the trade. Of all the projects he’s worked on over the years, his favorite was restoring the brickwork on the old Ma Bell building in Boise.

More than five decades after Pop first picked up a toilet brush, the values Dwayne started with in 1967 still guide Vita Clean today: honesty, integrity, hard work, and taking care of people.

Philosophy

To make restoration simple and transparent by educating our customers, doing the job right, and treating every home like our own.
